We are excited to have you here with us. We put together an onboarding checklist as well as some additional information on the group for you to reference as you get started.
Onboarding Checklist:
- Personalized Study Plan: Grab some time on my calendar and we can formally introduce ourselves. During this time we will create a personalized study plan for you.
- Send me a 1 paragraph blurb introducing yourself that I can share with the group.
- Join the Discord (ping dan#9955 if you have any issues)
- Sign into our Members Portal to access mock interviews and send your first thanks!

Daily Updates
Daily updates should be written in the #daily-updates channel. Be sure to include the keyword 'Update:' in your post so my bot can pick it up. I recommend completing daily updates in the morning, you should talk about what you did yesterday, and what you plan to do today!
I report on the percentage of updates that got completed everyday. If you are too busy to send an update that day, (life happens), you can still send a blank update to get credit. Something along the lines of "Update: Didn't get a chance to do anything today I'm slammed with work". You will get a response from one of our FAANG mentors within 48 hours.
Everything else
There are channels in the Hackpack category on discord for most things, but if you don’t know where to put something, the #hackpack channel is a great place! Everything interview prep is fair game from leetcode questions to handling recruiters.
Mock Interviews
You can signup for mock interviews here: https://member.hackpack.io/mock_interviews. I encourage you to sign up for your first mock interview today even if you think you aren’t ready. More info on Mock Interviews and how they work here.
Community
Remember, every Hackpack member is going through the same thing you are. If you see someone struggling with a topic or just need some encouragement, don't be afraid to reach out! This community has helped members get jobs at Meta, Google, Microsoft (and more!) and we are excited to help you do the same. We've had members do 1-1s to practice teaching topics to each other, and do mock interviews.

Stay up to date with events by subscribing to the Hackpack calendar! We often host Q&As with FAANG engineers and Hackpack alumni.
